The process of creating this facsimile was a long and difficult one, and fraught with challenges. We wanted it to be a large book, at least 30 cm high, printed on top quality heavy-weight paper with a genuine leather binding and matching slipcase.

There are only a small number of companies that specialize in the reproduction of museum quality manuscripts, but invariably this results in extremely high production costs and the resulting manuscripts sell for thousands of dollars each.

At Judaica facsimiles we wanted to make a manuscript that would sell for under $300 without compromising on quality.

We teamed up with Yair Medina of Jerusalem Fine Art Prints, and Avi Uzan of Yahalom Productions, both experts in the field of art digitisation and printing.

Together we came up with an effective strategy using innovative techniques to produce a top-quality manuscript, at a fraction of the usual costs.

Each page passed through 7 different printers; 4 separate colours, black, gold and silver. This ensured complete control, and uncompromising print quality.

The pages were then sewn into blocks and bound by hand in Italian leather. Strict quality control throughout the printing process ensured accurate colour reproduction and alignment.
